The AP has declared Jim Webb the winner in the Senate race. CNN (TV, not online) is reporting that the Allen campaign says they think they’ll throw in the towel tomorrow. The canvas simply isn’t going to reveal enough votes to do Allen any good.
Roanoke Times: Richard Berglund sentenced and fined in the MZM scandal. “‘It’s kind of ironic that we’re doing this sentencing on Election Day,’ Assistant U.S. Attorney Howard Sklamberg said.” Yes. Yes it is.
Sen. Creigh Deeds is pushing for voter-verified paper trails. Republicans have tried to make this a partisan issue, though Sen. Davis and Del. Hugo have been trying to change that. Sen. George Allen may soon find himself agreeing with them.

Survey USA has Webb at 52% and Allen at 44%. Wow. The poll was taken this weekend, from Friday through Sunday.
