Is there any season we greet more eagerly than spring?
We’ve tilled up a big new plot. The onions and potatoes are in the ground, with hundreds more seedlings waiting under grow lights to be planted properly. Dozens of trees have been planted, five pounds of wildflower seeds have been sewn, thirty pounds of grass seed has been scattered, and a good five pounds of mud have been tracked into the house by Lady Bird. For the first time since October, life is expanding beyond the boundaries of the house. I couldn’t have waited much longer.
Hundreds of seedlings under grow lights? What are you growing, anyway? : )
Tomatoes, lettuce, beans…all sorts of tasty, legal things. :)
Not up in CT yet, still darn cold days in 40’s and freezing overnight – here is the current state of my Rainier Cherry tree with a clever visitor – http://www.flickr.com/photos/gorskipics/3425405612/in/set-72157616434170471/
