I just saw on the news there was a Virginia Tech football game today, which explains all of the fuss today. But more helpfully, the story about the game also showed footage of two F-14 Tomcats flying low, right over the stadium, at the beginning of the game. Which clears up a small mystery for me, that of waking up this morning to the sound of what I was certain was a jet airplane about to nosedive into my bedroom. I was half right.
