  • A policeman, his wife, and their four-year-old son are taking a trip to Disney World. The physically disabled kid has only just started to walk, although he requires leg braces to do so. The TSA says that he cannot get on the plane and go to Disney World unless he removes his leg braces and walks, all by himself, through the metal detector. This is the peril of turning our security over to machines with low-paid operators, rather than security professionals who have machines available to them as one of many tools of providing security.

  1. This is an illegal requirement and violates the ADA by refusing accommodation and setting a different standard for a person with a disability.

The TSA has never worked, and they should be seriously revamped.

    What’s next, a quadriplegic?

  2. Revamped? How about abolished. These people have never caught a hijacker. We’ve spent billions on this agency for the SOLE purpose of annoying innocent travelers.
