Two new Democratic group blogs.

As the death of a broad-limbed oak in a dense forest provides an opportunity for new growth to sprout up, so too has the impending demise of Raising Kaine provided space for new blogs. The two that have started are emulating Raising Kaine’s niche as a group blog: Josh Chernila and Ken Bernstein are among those contributing to Blue Commonwealth, while Kenton Ngo, Johnny Camacho and Aimee Fausser have started New Dominion Project. Both require registration to comment, which is a roadblock to participation that I can’t recommend to new blogs, but the tradeoff is a more committed community, which can be worth it. Anyhow, I’m glad to see some new blogs, and I hope that some more ones appear, too. Competition is an ecosystem is healthy.
