  1. Let’s not forget Michael Steele, who was a featured speaker at the Republican convention. I think that was the most prominent African-American they could find – a former Lt. Governor of Maryland (and former brother-in-law of Mike Tyson, by the way).

  2. I guessed I missed him—though I didn’t watch every minute, of course, it was also a while before I realized that you’ve got to watch PBS or C-SPAN, or else they’ll cut away and you’ll miss a speaker. (That’s how I ended up missing Tim Kaine!)
