I just love this quote from Jim Gilmore in today’s Post: “Sending a Democrat to the United States Senate at this very critical time is not the best policy.” I wonder if Mr. Gilmore could describe a circumstance, real or hypothetical, under which he believes that it would be the best for Virginia to send a Democrat to the U.S. Senate?

“…not the best policy” ?
Gilmore just can’t hide those authoritarian roots. Someone needs to remind him that Virginia voters will select the next U.S. Senator from Virginia – it won’t be a “policy”, it will be a plebiscite. And I’m confident that Virginians have had enough of Republican “Policy”.
Hypotetically? When there are no more Republicans and the only choice is between a Democrat and a communist. A time I hope to live long enough to see .
