I once thought I had stumbled upon a Brattleboro Provisional (http://www.siegelauctions.com/2000/824/y8244.htm), of which only 52 are known to exist, and was so excited that I rushed it to the stamp store right away. The man behind the counter took one look at it and said, “It’s clearly a fake.” Boy did I feel stupid…
If true.. that’s more than I would every want or be able to pay just to vote. That said it very well could be a forgery they sell on ebay all the time.
