The C&O’s local history.

The C&O Railway began as the Louisa Railroad, in Louisa County, and conquered the nation through the state-funded project, spearheaded by Claudius Crozet, of tunneling through the Blue Ridge at Rockfish Gap. One can’t grow up around Crozet without learning about Claudius, but I never knew the rest of the story.
