Inaugural ball tickets.

Just a reminder that ticket request for the inaugural ball runs through January 9. If you want to go, be sure to get your request in so you have a shot. I know I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

  1. Inauguration alone is $250 per, so I won’t be going, nor will my partner. I wonder if this is to cover costs? I hope so, because it certainly doesn’t seem like the ‘people’s’ inauguration.

  2. Mark,
Inauguration/parade tix are $2.50, not $250! They are for outside bleacher seats, as I hear–I think they’ll probably have large screen tvs showing the inaugural ceremony. Of course, if you are a true VIP, you may have scored an inside seat for the inauguration (perhaps explaining a higher cost). But since the ceremony is taking place in the (very small) Governor’s Palace, I don’t imagine there’s space there for many more than 150 guests. Reconsider going for the cheap seats–it’s going to be pretty historic and the parade is going to be tons of fun!

  3. Will the inaugural be anywhere on television? Seems like C-Span aired Warner’s inauguration, because I remember it was the day of my 14th birthday party…

  4. Sadly, I will not be able to attend. I proudly worked for Kaine this past season and I feel really bad about missing it, but I hope everyone that does go has a great time celebrating a bright future for our state. We worked hard, and we won. Great job everyone, and I’m almost sorry to see 2005 passing away.

  5. The inaugural concert on Friday night in Williamsburg is $72.50/head, and the Ball the following night is $103/head. ouch. Does anyone know who’s even playing the concert?
