This site is so hideous.

I’ve tolerated such a horribly ugly website for so long that trying to fix these WordPress 2.0 upgrade-induced bugs in my template seems a little like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. I’m teetering on the edge of just throwing the whole thing out and starting over again. I should just pretend that I’m a career website development professional who wants people to think that he knows what he’s doing.

Maybe if I use one of the prepackaged WordPress templates (in which my “Recommended Reads” one-off links are useless) I’ll be sufficiently embarrassed that I’ll just have to do something drastic.

Update: Well, I’ve got a bit of a new template done, so I’ve put that into place. “Recommended Reads” still renders wrong, but everything functions, more or less. My apologies for this “under construction” approach to things. It’s not my style, but I’ve just got too much going on right now to do it all at once.

  1. I like the recent photos section…Everything isn’t exactly the way you want it when you move into a new house…same logic applies here :-)

I’ve been wanting that section for a long time. :) I’d really like to take more photos for the site, and I enjoy the ease of uploading them to Flickr. It’ll be nice to style that presentation box, too — it’s a little crude at the moment.

    Exactly.

Dang, I just noticed that live preview function hasn’t been added. I gotta put that back.
