Meth’s local toll.

I’ve been getting my hair cut at the same place since I was a kid. About a year ago, one of the barbers disappeared. He’d posted angry signs along the streets near the shop advertising that he’d left the shop and was at a new place. That’s a little scandalous for this 50-year-old family-owned business. I didn’t dare ask the others what had happened to the youngest, most recent addition to their lineup.

Now I know.

  1. Hey Waldo – Did you grow up in Stuarts Draft? And congrats by the way to you and your bride! Lovely wedding photos! We missed you in Roanoke last weekend.

  2. Did you grow up in Stuarts Draft?

Nope — Kevin recently moved there from Buckingham (the county immediately south of Albemarle), and he worked at a barber shop here in Charlottesville.

And congrats by the way to you and your bride!

    Thanks, Lou. :)
