An anonymous commenter points out that MZM, Inc. gave $5,000 to Republican candidate for governor Jerry Kilgore earlier this year.
They’ve given money to just one other candidate in Virginia — $1,250 to Charlottesville’s own Delegate Rob Bell.
I certainly hope that they’ve returned those contributions by now, or that they plan on doing so shortly. Rob Bell’s got his squeaky-clean image to maintain, and Kilgore’s got enough trouble with large contributions from companies with no respect for the law.
Oh god. Not Rob Bell. I cringe at the mention of this supposed moderate who spends every second of his time at GA enhancing his campaign brochures.
