Kilgore hired a debate coach.

At the Washington Post‘s campaign blog, Michael Shear writes:

Brett O’Donnell is listed in state records as the principal owner of O’Donnell and Associates Ltd., a firm that Kilgore’s campaign paid $3,000 and listed as a “consultant” to the effort.

A Google search turns up the fact that O’Donnell is also the director of debate at Liberty University.

Aha.

In his bio on the Web site, O’Donnell touts his record as having coached the number one debate teams at Penn State and Liberty University for several of the last 14 years. He also notes that in 2004, he served as “special adviser” to President Bush for the presidential debates.

Heh. I wonder what else Kilgore’s getting coached in?

  1. That Kilgore seems to be such an inadequate opponent kills me. I want to support a Republican candidate, but cannot fathom why one would refuse to include fellow candidates. Aargh.

  2. Jim,

It sounds like Russ Potts is your man. The guy has guts, smarts and morals. When people ask ‘what were you thinking voting for this guy who’s too ashamed of himself to appear on TV’ you can say ‘I didn’t. I voted for a real Republican instead.’

Why line up behind a guy who can’t perform the most basic functions required of a candidate for office?
