And Voice of America should only report bad news.

Barry Myers, executive vice president of AccuWeather, on the uselessness of weather forecasts if they’re not threatening:

“The National Weather Service has not focused on what its core mission should be, which is protecting other people’s lives and property,” said Myers… Instead, he said, “It spends hundreds of millions of dollars a year, every day, producing forecasts of ‘warm and sunny.'”

You see, the government should only forecast bad weather, because, otherwise, they’d be unfair competing with private weather services like, say, AccuWeather. Thanks for your insight, buddy.
