News Leader on Kilgore’s mannerisms.

The Staunton News Leader takes things up a notch in the matter of Kilgore’s big weak spot, his voice. The press has been reluctant to acknowledge this particular living room elephant, presumably because Kilgore’s less-than-manliness is a tough topic to address. Richard SimmonsSo I was impressed three days ago when the Hampton Roads Daily Press described Jerry Kilgore as “a little French.” Today’s News Leader editorial really takes the cake.

They refer to “the ‘Ned Flanders meets Mr. Rogers’ whine that passes for Kilgore’s voice.”

So, which paper will be the first to name him “Richard Simmons with a Richmond address”?
