Spammers found my new address.

Somehow, in the few short months that I’ve been using my new e-mail address, spammers have discovered it. At the same time that I changed the URL of this site from waldo.net to waldo.jaquith.org, I changed my e-mail address accordingly. I have jealously guarded my new address, hoping to keep the spammers at bay, but in the past 18 days, I have received four pieces of spam at my new e-mail address. I have not used it in a single on-line forum, never posted it to Usenet, and regular googlings for it have come up blank. A precious few vendors have been given this address, with anybody that I’m not certain that I can trust receiving, instead, my Gmail address. (Which has, accordingly, received a dozen pieces of spam in the past five months.)

I don’t know how they do it.
