More sketchiness in presidential voting tallies.

On MSNBC tonight, Keith Olbermann pointed out that in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, there were 96,000 more votes cast than they are registered voters. (Source data, side-by-side comparison.)

Keep in mind that the current vote count has Bush ahead by 136,483 votes, which won him Ohio, which is going to win him the election when the electoral college votes next month. So 96,000 in this one county? That’s a problem.

Update: Olbermann was wrong about the 96k — there were 96,000 more votes cast, but it’s because Cuyahoga was counting just what they said that they were counting — votes. One person votes in three races, that’s three votes. Thanks to J.D. for pointing that out.
