Vacationdays.

I’ve been working on the Al Weed campaign here in Charlottesville since I arrived last Thursday night. Just as I’ve arrived, Al is leaving for a much-needed vacation in Panama for three weeks. It’s my hope that I’ll help get a lot accomplished in his absence, so that he can return to find an even better campaign than he left. Although I suppose that this qualifies as work, I welcome the opportunity to make use of my school-atrophied brain.

Ida, my family’s first child, is due any hour now. She, the daughter of my brother and his wife, Trish, was to be born yesterday sometime, but as nobody tends to tell the children the date on which they are do, such things tend to be inexact. No doubt she will spring forth into the world before the 1st; there’s a tax deduction on the line here. If “The Story About the Baby” is any indicator, day one stands to be a treat.
