There are LaRouchies all over Blacksburg and throughout the Virginia Tech campus. The nutcases are collecting signatures to get Lyndon LaRouche on the ballot. LaRouche, of course, is completely insane, and a convicted criminal, at that. (Swindling old folks and tax evasion.) Worse than collecting signatures, they’re handing out copies of LaRouche’s paranoid-delusional newspaper, which no doubt these young, impressionable minds are reading and mistaking for fact. One of my professors told me of how he once got in a fistfight with some LaRouchies. I’ve been avoiding them, lest I find myself tempted to follow the same path.
