My brain hurts.

I’ve developed the alarming combination of a right-side facial twitch and a visual problem. The symptoms are consistent with simple partial seizures. That in itself isn’t a problem, at least that I’m aware of — I don’t mind the occasional flashy lights and an almost-imperceptably (to an observer) twitchy eyeball. The problem that this type of seizure result from trauma to the brain. This can come in the form of a physical injury, a stroke, or a brain tumor. I haven’t had any physical injury, I imagine that I’d know if I had a stroke, and I’m not so thrilled with door number three. Of course, it’s altogether possible that I just have flashy lights and a twitchy eyeball.

I’m going to see a neurologist in Charlottesville on Tuesday.
