Gus Mueller explains why he loves FogBugz. I have to agree. I started using FogBugz to track issues for VQR back in January, and it’s just great. It’s well worth the $129. The open source Mantis is what I use for Richmond Sunlight, and while I really want to like Mantis more, the difference between the two is just night and day. Eventually I’ll drop down $129 of my own money to get a personal copy and use it to keep up with all of my various projects. Honestly, I’m a little embarrassed that I spent so many years developing websites without using issue tracking software. 08/01 Update: Fog Creek extends an offer for free access to a hosted FogBugz install for small shops and single developers. I just signed up.
