Wow, President Obama is doing a bang-up job of making good on his 500+ campaign promises. 206 are in the works, 75 have been kept, 20 have been done with compromises, 45 are stalled, and 9 have been broken. The St. Petersburg Times hasn't yet had a chance to figure out where he's at with 158 of them. Republicans don't like him, obviously, but the man's doing what he promised to do, the promises that convinced a healthy majority of the nation to make him president.

On the other hand, he’s done a terrible job meeting some specific expectations regarding openness, war, and other matters dear to the liberal heart. Some weren’t explicit campaign promises, to be fair… but it is disappointing.
I was particularly impressed by the rightwing expression of legislative partnership made public by Sen.Jim DeMint – pledging to make health care reform “President Obama’s Waterloo”. Thank god Duke Obama and the 7th met that challenge!
