“Tap Water’s Popularity Forces Pepsi to Cut Jobs.”

From the Hell Freezes Over department, the New York Times reports that tap water has become so popular that PepsiCo will have to close six plants and lay of 3,300 people. I really underestimated Americans on this front.

I’m not sure you underestimated the American people, it’s probably just as likely that millions of Americans were looking at ways to tighten their budgets to ride out a financial downturn, and at some point they collectively realized they’re driving to a store and paying $1.25 a bottle for something that gets piped into their homes for basically free.
