Republicans don’t like their choices.

CBS/NYT Poll: 57% of Republicans don’t see a presidential candidate that they can support, while only 35% of Democrats feel the same way (PDF). There’s nobody in the Democratic lineup that I’m excited about, but it’s long been clear to me that the Republicans are screwed here. None of those old white guys are both capable of getting the nomination and winning in the general election.

  1. Take a good hard look at Bill Richardson.

    I mean, not from a media “rock star” point of view, just from a resume, experience point of view.

  2. The only problem is that you’ll have to do most of the looking yourself – the general media won’t do it for you like they will with the Big 3. But they will tell you that he’s not one of the Big 3 …

    He has such a large public record that if you look for it, you’ll find it.

  3. I had a chance to see Ron Paul on HBO Friday night. I’ve never voted republican, but I could see myself voting for him.
