I know something which is known to few but is not a secret. Karl Rove is not a believer…
Thus Hitch. I guess in Hitchensian math, “few” is a number that includes all the readers of James Moore & Wayne Slater’s widely reviewed book on Rove that came out last year, which also made this claim. If you Google “Karl Rove agnostic” you’ll turn up plenty of references to that, including interviews with Moore where he discusses the matter. So Hitchens is being a tad disingenuous in making it sound like he’s revealing insider information.
