Sen. Wagner promoting sustainable living.

AP: Senator Frank Wagner is spending the week living in a Virginia-Tech designed solar home in Richmond to promote sustainable living. The house captures rainwater, uses active solar for electricity, radiant floor heating, and a small footprint. Good for Sen. Wagner for doing this.

  1. Passive solar is fun too. Until the age of 5, I lived in a house (that my parents built) that was designed to take advantage of the sun — without the use of solar panels. The best part was the attached south-facing solar greenhouse that kept the house warm in the winter.
