The history of the lawn jockey.

The Washington Post has a surprisingly interesting article about the history of the humble lawn jockey. I’d always seen them as a tasteless, ignorantly racist decoration, but it turns out they could just as easily be seen as an homage to the Underground Railroad and a minor hero of the Revolutionary War.
