A 75-year-old woman is the latest witness to overt racism on the part of Sen. Allen. In 1978, the wife of of the UVa rugby team coach, she upbraided Allen when he loudly and repeatedly defamed blacks; Allen told her to buzz off. Family members report that she’s been telling the story ever since. She has never heard from Jim Webb or any of his supporters, and decided to come forward because she’s angry about him lying. No harm done. :) As my wife points out, she looks pretty good for 75! Perhaps 75 is the new 30? ;)
In my case, 50 is the new 65. At least that’s how I feel sometimes. I know, I know, I will get over it soon, just like my 40th. :)
