This is exactly why we need to pass the Marshall/Newman amendment. How are we ever going to compete in global discrimination if we can’t legally bash the gays?
Now that W’s “Coalition of the Willing” allies in Iraq is dwindling down to the U.S. and Great Britain, it’s timely to point out that Brit gays and lesbians can and do serve in their country’s army and navy.
Yes, that’s right — our troops are in the same misbegotten war as gays and lesbians! Could this be why the GOP GOD isn’t blessing W’s military endeavors?
And, given that those same gays and lesbians can get wed in England (they call it “civil partnerships,” but legally it’s equivalent to civil marriage) — in uniform, on station! — doesn’t that explain why the GOP GOD is visiting the U.K. with swarms of locusts and terrorists?
Or maybe not. Maybe all this means is that the U.K. is more civilized than the U.S. (Except when its PM joins W’s war and becomes W’s poodle. But that’s another matter.)
