  1. Strong opposition is a gift. American politics is a dialog for the common good. From an idea, through it’s opposition, the great American political experiment finds its way.

    Though the merciless attacks of the far right on American liberties, and common decency are painful and we may never fully recover from the damage done by 6 years of Bushist cronyist corruption (Requiem NOLA), the fact of their failure stand as a challenge for Democrats to reassess our positions, our devotion, and our vision in order to fully represent the Greatness that is America.

    Let the Republicans wander in the desert for a few decades, we’ve been outside for long enough.

  2. The answer to “old zach’s” question is “Yes.”

    I’m a firm believer that it’s never a great idea to let one party control all three branches of government. It’s time to get some checks and balances back into government.
