Flickr photos on Charlottesville Blogs?

On the Charlottesville blogs aggregator I include Flickr photos tagged with “Charlottesville”. I really like this, and enjoy the pictures that appear. But at least a couple of people have told me that they find it annoying, and would rather that the pictures didn’t show up in the feed.

Do any C’ville blog readers have any feelings one way or the other?

  1. I don’t mind the photos. They can be fun. I just wish they did not show up as multiple listings. Someone posts 14 photos tagged charlottesville- even if it’s one source.. it creates 14 individual entries. If there were a way to make it so that only only 1 entry was created for the photo group per individual person posting the photos
(for example- Foo at Foo’s blog posted 20 photos, instead of having it show up as 20 individual photos- have it show up as one link- attributed to Foo’s blog).

Admittedly I don’t know enough about the technology to know if that’s possible. However I think that would be preferable.

  2. I like it and I find it annoying, all in one. For me, the benefit of seeing the pix outweighs the annoyance.

  3. In fact, the more I think about it, there are certainly bloggers who I find annoying — but they are from cville and so it totally makes sense for them to be in the feed. I just find ways to avoid them.
