I don’t want to start and argument here, I don’t have time for it and I haven’t studied it, but my perception always was this: The point of contention is not whether the earth’s mean surface temperature is rising. Indeed it is. However, many scientists believe that this is not because of man induced circumstances, but becuase of natural cycles. They contend there is not enough evidence to show that this is human induced. We don’t have records far enough back to know what the earth’s natural temperature cycles are.
There are two levels of extremism, Hans. There are those who disagree with every climate researcher in the world, who say that man isn’t causing it. And there there are those who deny that it’s happening at all. The former are uneducated. The latter are assholes.
