Having just finished school and now preparing to get married in September, I’m at one of those transitional points where I’d like to know what my options are. If anybody knows of an organization or company that’s hiring in the fields of tech, politics, or both, I’d be interested in hearing about it. Pure tech is fine (eg: CTO, senior web applications developer, webmaster), though a tech/politics combo would be the happiest combination. Holler if you know of anything, would you?

Have you tried the Heritage Foundation Job Bank?
Heh.
Fifth column, anyone?
I’m trying to decide what would be more horrible — working for an organization affiliated with the Heritage Foundation or working in Washington D.C.
Wait, no, I’ve decided. Working in D.C.
Waldo, I am familar with some positions in Cville and Richmond. Send me an email. Meanwhile, check out:

I’m curious why you think working in DC would be awful…
Nothing special — I just don’t really like D.C. Also, I live 3 hours away. :)
I’d suspect that I’d work in D.C. if I were called to service by an elected official, particularly by the president. Politics or no, when an executive asks you to serve, you say “yes sir.”
If you’re used to the style and pace of C’ville, DC would not be a good change. I went to college in Fredericksburg and I am not as happy in NOVA. There’s too much traffic and the neighborhoods do not have as much personality as Fredericksburg has. I don’t know anybody that could help in C’ville though so I’m sorry.
