Just today, it was pointed out to me that when Republican Kevin Triplett challenged Rep. Rick Boucher for the 9th District seat here in Virginia this fall, his “Rick Boucher just isn’t being straight with us,” and “Rick Boucher is living a double life” ads were supposed to imply that Boucher is gay and not just that his votes in Washington didn’t match his speeches in the district, as the ad stated.
Wow. I saw that TV ad, like, 50 times. That totally didn’t work.
