My Lord. This excerpt is from Félix Guattari’s Soft Subversions, as assigned for one of my classes this semester:

The exercise of power by means of the semioses of Capital proceeds concurrently with a control from above of social segments, and by a constant subjugation of each individual’s life. Even though its enunciation is individuated, there is nothing less individual than capitalist subjectivity. The over-coding by Capital of human activities, thoughts, and feelings makes all particularized modes of subjectivation equivalent and resonant with each other. Subjectivity, so to speak, is nationalized.

It goes on for 56 pages.

If I ever take to writing anything so abstruse and intellectually masturbatory, I hope that somebody will take me behind the proverbial barn and shoot me.
