For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been listening (near-obsessively) to The Grey Album, DJ Danger Mouse‘s absolutely inspired mash-up of Jay-Z’s The Black Album and The Beatles The White Album. I will be surprised if The Grey Album proves to be anything less than the greatest album of 2004.
Because this album is entirely unauthorized, with EMI trying desperately to prevent its distribution, this can’t just be bought on album.
