No class for the weary.

I wisely stayed in bed and didn’t go to my first class. Stupidly, I dragged myself to my second class. I’m coherent enough to sit at a desk quietly and more or less pay attention. But I’m certainly not well enough to take a pop quiz, as was administered in my urban planning class this afternoon. I know this material cold, so it was pretty embarassing to have to turn in the quiz after five fuzzy-headed minutes reading just over half of the questions and answers on the surely-very-simple multiple choice quiz. I spoke to the teacher after the class, and he told me that there was no opportunity for extra credit or to make up the work, and helpfully suggested that I go to the student heath clinic. The moral of the story? Don’t go to class unless well enough to take a pop quiz.

I was going to attend my political theory class this afternoon, but now I’ve learned that I should e-mail my apologies and homework, and stay in bed.
