Eating my spinach.

I’ve been working out since last fall, and it’s finally having an effect. I’ve gained about eight pounds in the last six weeks or so (and, in fact, eight pounds since last November), and I hope to put another ten pounds in the coming few months. The pair of khaki shorts that I favor in the summer no longer fit; they pull in at the waist and strain at the top. My biceps — particularly my right one — appear to belong to somebody else, all bulging and veinous. I’ve been unsuccessfully attempting to figure out how to go about flexing my pecs, but when I do learn how to go about it, I suspect that they’ll have some mass as well. I even have what Amber affectionately refers to as “an ab.” It’s a little weird, to be honest, but I must admit that I like it.
