Good news—India and Bangladesh have stopped fighting over who owns New Moore Island (aka South Talpatti Island). Bad news—it's because the sea level in the Bay of Bengal has been rising by .2" annually, and the island has disappeared under the waves. Yay?

Investors abhor uncertainty. I remember the stock market jumping up after the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. The market doesn’t necessarily like war, but it likes to not spend time wondering if or when it may begin.
I find it hard to believe that these countries fought over an island that 30 years ago, rose 4.4 inches above sea level. It must have sucked to be one of the Indian paramilitaries stationed there on a windy day at high tide.
