Perhaps someday the Governor will host a reception for the folks that created Richmond Sunlight any easy to use tool for determining who understands how to govern responsibly, and who does not.

That’s a pretty neat story. I don’t frequent RK and so had no idea it was such a force. $4 million raised online for Webb! Maybe he should have ‘em over for drinks too.

Judge Smails: Just a correction, it was not Raising Kaine per se that raised the $4 million for the Webb campaign. It was the entire netroots, including Daily Kos and many other blogs, plus e-mail solicitations and other methods. Overall, the Webb campaign raised over $4 million online out of about $8 million total raised. I was netroots/online fundraising coordinator for the Webb campaign.

Thanks for the correction. Even though I was on the other side of the Allen/Webb race (just as a voter, not any kind of campaign aide) that’s yeoman’s you guys did to take a relative unknown and defeat a heretofore popular incumbent senator. And I gotta say after what I regarded as a rocky start for a new junior senator I think Webb has rebounded and is finding his way quite nicely. Not sure whether comments like this from an avowed conservative hurt or help him, but there it is.

The thing for a lot of people about Webb is he’s seen as a moderate that can bring both parties together on issues that the parties are getting in the way of. He’s a great voice for pro-gun Dems.
So no, I don’t think your respect hurts him Judge.
