Here's an interesting ruling from Bill Mims' office. Two students ride a bus. One requires a service dog. The other is severely allergic to dogs. Now what? Unfortunately, Mims (to my eyes) punts, saying that the school board should have the kids ride separate buses…but the school board has already said that they can't afford to do that.

The Treasury figures it'll get 89% of President Bush's bailout money back. The Obama administration had forecast a $341B loss, but that's narrowed to $42B. That's pretty surprising.

Using the letters Q, W, or X in Turkey can land you in prison. Yet they start their website addresses with "www," rather than the Turkish-style "vvv." This has become problematic.

To the bailout, even all that AIG money, the auto companies and handling the commercial real estate collapse? $42 billion would be a Christmas miracle. Oh wait, that is just TARP, which excludes AIG and autos but maybe bailing out those holding some worthless commercial real estate loans.
To the state AG, just buy the allergic kid some Claritin D or its generic counterparts. Just watch out for the silly limit they place on those sales. Problem solved and the school district doesn’t need a new bus.
