A tweetable legislature.

John Athayde points out Tweet Congress, which seems like something I should do on Richmond Sunlight. Which members of the General Assembly have Twitter feeds?

  1. off-topic but I this is killing me–I thought the pre-filing deadline was yesterday but it doesn’t seem possible that there are only 500+ bills pre-filed both on LIS and RS. Did I get the pre-filing deadline wrong?

  2. Don’t we have enough half-baked, 256 character, bumpersticker legislative initiatives floating around the legislature? We’ve already been tweeted; No Car Tax? And the bruises remain.

  3. For Allison – the pre-file drafting deadline was last week. All legislation that is going to be filed before session needs to be sent to legislative services for drafting by that date. However, they’re not filed until the patron has a chance to review the draft and make necessary revisions. A good majority of bills don’t end up in the system until the first week of January.
