Arctic ice shelf breaking up.

A Canadian military research expedition to the Arctic has found an enormous network of cracks spanning the largest ice shelf in the nation’s north. The pictures of these cracks — they’re more like canyons — are amazing.

  1. Those are just theoretical cracks produced by unreliable models created by scientists looking for research funding from Al Gore and his network of socialists trying to destroy capitalism.

    Hmmmm. Theoretical or real, this is a fascinating story. And it reminds me how very distressing it is that Al Gore hasn’t figured out a way to stop the Earth’s climate from changing. It’s incredible that our species has survived all this time, through many such natural cycles of warming and cooling.
