Toilet paper theft makes national news.

The latest sign of a media apocalypse: “Someone’s Swiping Toilet Paper,” front-page news at CNN. At least the sheriff had the good sense not to even return the AP’s phone call.

  1. Yes, let’s worry about a $.30 roll of toilet paper, and the couple of billion in Iraq this week will take care of itself.

Yes, I know they are hardly connected in most ways, but if this is what passes as news, more important things just go begging for attention that they deserve.

    The world has gone nuts.

  2. I can’t even imagine how that got there. Why it was reported on by anyone in the first place is enough of a mystery, but how’d it get onto the CNN front page? Were humans involved (and if so, how did people that stupid get hired?), or was it some sort of automated process?
