Gringrich blames poor word choice.

Newt Gingrich says that his word choice was bad — in heavily-accented Spanish no less — but . He still didn’t manage to explain what the hell he was talking about, sticking to his explanation that it’s “very clear” what he meant. Perhaps, given his response in Spanish, he figures it was all just a big mistranslation.

  1. Ooof, Newt’s accent and intonation are pretty bad. Still, he’s several notches above the level of Reagan’s “Me cassa ess Sue cassa”. And within spitting range of Jimmy Carter’s accent, though Carter reads Spanish more fluently.
