Two and a half inches of snow on the ground on April 7. I saw snow on April 4 last year but, then, I was in Massachusetts. Snow in this part of the nation this time of year certainly is unusual.

Yeah, we’ve got it here in Norfolk as well.
Was watching the Mets v. Braves on TV last night. They were playing in Atlanta, in April, and everyone was freezing. One of the players was saying that it was Jan weather.
Just too damn odd.
And by 11:00-ish, it was all gone!
I was afraid it would ruin some of the blooms that I hadn’t had a chance to take pictures of yet, like red bud and dogwood.
The little amount of snow here didn’t seem to make much of a difference, just some moisture for the plants, and for the garden. We have already planted potatoes, broccoli and cabbage.
I do wish it would warm up though, I am more than ready for it.
After that joke of a winter we had (way too late, way too short), it’s nice to have one last go round.
We had some snow Yesterday, as well as today. It was surprising considering the 90-degree weather that we had on Tuesday.
I was able to catch a snapshot of the snow in Belmont a bit after 7am this morning before it all melted. I agree with Dan: I am glad for the contrast, what with the 80 degrees a week and a half ago.
I live out in Louisa, and we actually still have a bit of snow on the rooftops – pretty amazing. My cousins in North Dakota just had a gigantic snow storm last week, too.
Psh, global warming, what are they talking about… [I’m joking of course – sarcasm never goes over too well for me online]
Waldo
I like your picture.
I too like the pic. I actually thought that the pain meds I am on for surgery were playing tricks with my eyes, but no…it was real live snow. Kind of crazy.
