A tough lesson early in life.

My favoritest radio show is This American Life. One of my most favoritest episodes is “Kid Logic,” described as “stories of kids using perfectly logical arguments and arriving at perfectly wrong conclusions.” Here’s

  1. Excellent recommendation. Seriously, anyone with a net connection should subscribe to TAL as a podcast (it’s free, and if you have iTunes, you can find it in their directory).

I’ve been working on a piece on the wonderful thing that is radio, and TAL is one of the examples of how perfect the medium can be.

  2. I just listed to the podcast for that episode last night. It was excellent. The tooth fairy and “white man” stories had me laughing so hard I almost had to pull over.

  3. I used to listen to TAL on my iPod while driving back and forth between Blacksburg and Charlottesville every week. Two and a half episodes each way. I must have looked like a freak, occasionally laughing dangerously hard like you, Andrew, but it sure helped the time fly by.
