The origin of self-assembling taxonomies.

A lot of folks may have never encountered tagging prior to using Richmond Sunlight. Now somebody has conducted a study into the folksonomies (folk + taxonomy) that emerge from this process and found that the self-organizing behavior is based on some simple social and linguistic rules.
