Just as an FYI, we’ve actually had a Virginia Public Building Authority since 1981 (see http://www.trs.virginia.gov/debt/vpba.asp) — this bill does not “create” such an authority, merely tasks it with issuing bonds to help with cleanup of the Chesapeake Bay…

Oh, I’m all about a public building authority. It’s a pubic building authority that I’m opposed to. I don’t think government has any place telling Virginians what we can and can’t build in our pubes.

Reminds me of the time some smart-aleck staff member thought it would be funny to refer a bill to the committee on “pilferages and erections.”
It was funny until it got printed that way.
